No Amgen Tour of California on 2021 WorldTour calendars

The UCI has launched the 2021 WorldTour calendars for women and men, and neither calendar contains the Amgen Tour of California.

In an announcement from the UCI, neither race organizer reached out to request a date for its 2021 version.

“The UCI regrets the departure of those two occasions and can work with involved events in direction of attempting to make sure the return to the main collection for males’s skilled street biking of occasions going down in these two areas which can be necessary for high-level biking,” mentioned an announcement launched by the UCI.

On the ladies’s calendar, racing will begin on the Cadel Evans Nice Ocean Street Race, in Australia, and conclude in China with the Tour of Guangxi.

Notably, the ladies’s Paris-Roubaix (April 11) is scheduled for a second version, in addition to the RideLondon Classique, slated for the final Sunday in Could.

The Itzulia Ladies (previously the Donostia San Sebastian) has been added to the UCI Ladies’s WorldTour calendar as a three-day stage race.

For 2021, the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas is on for Could 20 – 23.

The UCI has confirmed no calendar place for the Amgen Tour of California Ladies’s Race in 2021.
